ABOUT THE FILM : < Portraits of Professional CAREgivers: Their Passion, Their Pain > is a documentary film which takes us on a journey into a world the public has not seen. The film depicts the dramatic emotional costs experienced by professional providers such as nurses, social workers, clinical psychologists, doctors, firefighters, first responders who rescue, assist, and when possible heal the injured and traumatized. Through dramatic stories, CAREGIVERS film probes the emotionally risky aspects of professional caregiving and public service.
We ask the question: How is the professional care provider affected emotionally and physically, and who helps him or her?!
This screening is the result of an international collaboration between the ACEs connection network and the makers of the movie, and is brought to you by Raymond Lambert who runs the TREIreland page.
Our work is to bring help to people where possible, and to raise awareness. On Tuesday Dec 6, we'll channel our attention and energy to the Helpers themselves.

What is MICROBIRTH? “MICROBIRTH” is a 60 minute science documentary that looks at birth in a whole new way, through the lens of a microscope. Exploring the latest scientific research, the film warns that modern birth practices are interfering with critical biological processes making our children much more susceptible to disease. Made by One World Birth filmmakers Toni Harman & Alex Wakeford.
Why Host A Screening? This is a call to action. We want to bring worldwide attention to the fact that what happens in childbirth has repercussions for the long-term health of the child and also, potentially could have consequences for the whole of humanity. This is an urgent global public health issue. You can help bring people together, discuss the issues and to help think of a solution. Together we can make change happen!
