#EPILEPSY testimonial
I have epilepsy. In a world where a lot of potentially useful, or even fun practices, are contra-indicated, a TRE session is better circumstances to have a fit in than most. There's floor space and a mat. Safer than trying to relax in a bath, which regularly kills people in our demographic. Apart from the usual precautions such as having someone familiar with your condition nearby, as you would with other exercise, swimming etc, I would counsel any epileptic to be prepared for one more thing: being really bad at this at first! :) We run our lives with not losing control as first priority, it's not surprising that all our strategies to present "as normal" kick in. That is an interesting thing to learn in first sessions, in itself: how are we currently trying to regulate ourselves when we start to feel wobbly? TRE is an invaluable tool for managing my nervous system and I would heartily recommend self-paced, supported exploration, to anyone with epilepsy.
